Awaken to Peace

And so the morning comes
Inclement; but thereís enough time
Awaken to peace
Allís quiet, all haste is gone
And thoughts are slow
With awe to the horizontal, still
About the perserverance of days
Why are they all so flat and smooth
And all the same, not one is different
What reasons should I have
To waste my time on such a day?

I missed the place where the goal was hidden
Now thereís nothing left before me.

And even without mirrors I can see
My own dim gaze
Reflecting the eyes
Which give calm to the rooms
And time to the deposits of dust
On crinkles that only
A deep breath can sway
On this day of stillness.
